The Pipeline

How Drone Image Processing Works

Our entirely automated pipeline converts hundreds of 2D images into measurable, high-precision GIS data mapped in 3D space.

1

Structure from Motion (SfM)

After you upload your DJI, Autel, or custom drone images, the system reads the EXIF geolocation data. We then detect thousands of unique matching feature points across overlapping images to reconstruct the exact 3D camera positions and flight path.

Dense Point Cloud Generation

Using Multi-View Stereo (MVS) algorithms running on an NVIDIA A100 GPU cluster, we project depth maps for every single pixel to create a massive, dense point cloud consisting of tens of millions of colored 3D geometric points.

Orthorectification & Export

The 3D mesh is draped with the original photo textures, then flattened into a True Orthophoto (an aerial map with uniform scale, completely free of lens distortion and perspective shifts). Elevation data is exported as Digital Surface Models.
